KNOT NORMAL is a small Mom & Pop craft business located in a very rural area on the western edge of the Ohio Applachian area approximately 70 miles East of Cincinnati and 90 miles Southwest of Columbus. Our business endeavors began in 1990 in an adjoining county and in 2002 we moved to this area desiring room for business expansion in a more rural laid back lifestyle and have found this to be the perfect spot . This area has some wonderful Amish crafters creating quality products and we made the decision to help them expose their work to the world via the internet.

Our county, Adams, with the population of approximately 27,000 includes our small local town of Peebles, Ohio. Peebles was a true railroad hub back in the early 1900's but the trains don't stop here anymore. Serpent Mound, one of 3 world famous effigy mounds, is only 2.8 miles. Wonderful history is in the area and there are many small museums; antique shopping; several campgrounds; hunting & fishing areas; nice remote B & B's and Inns; a good sized Amish community with their baked goods and handcrafted items including our handmade baskets; even a very nice nudist colony. A great place to relax and step back in time. We would be glad to have you stop by if you are ever in our area.
